Postpartum Depression Prevention
The Postpartum Depression Law that has been in effect in the state of New Jersey since April of 2006
calls for the integration of obstetrics care and mental health services for women and their families. The
Center of Revitalizing Psychiatry, full service psychiatric clinic located in the center of Hackensack, has
a division that focuses on mental health during pregnancy and postpartum period. Our facility can
become a referral source for your patients who, when screened at your office, have been found to either
have depressive symptoms, excessive anxiety, and fears or be at risk for developing pregnancy related
or postpartum mental illness.
We strongly believe that working together we will achieve better results for our patients.

Our treatment team: Adult and Geriatric Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Social
Workers, and Professional Counselors with years of clinical experience. Our staff has outstanding
cultural competency and multilingual abilities: English, Russian, Hindi, Hebrew, and Ukrainian.
Eligibility: patients 18 years or older.
We accept major private insurances and have a sliding fee payment option.
We will schedule an intake appointment within 48 hours and start treatment within a week.

- Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation
- Medication Management
- Support Groups
- Individual Psychotherapy
- Family and Couples Psychotherapy
- Family Education and Support
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that offers up to 3 hours of therapeutic activities a day up to 3
days a week for women who need additional support and may be either at risk for inpatient
psychiatric hospitalization or recently discharged from the hospital. Our new IOP is the only day
treatment program in the Bergen County that specializes in mental illness in pregnancy and
postpartum period.
